ANTI-POLLUTION LAWS â€‹

  • Halt deforestation by private companies and gradually expand the number of conserved and protected regions

  • Anti-pollution laws that will gradually limit the dumping of untreated waste into water streams and prevent open burning

​

  • Stricter standards to reduce the number of oil spills that occur in Malaysian waters

​

  • Stricter regulations and penalties that will deter illegal fishing, illegal logging, mining and poaching.​

ECONOMIC MEASURES â€‹

  • Introduce a suitable carbon tax on large greenhouse gas emitters

  • Invest in the local Malaysian green technology industry

  • Increase the levy of imported waste to RM40 per tonne​

  • Tax exemptions for companies undergoing solar leasing activities
